A Book review: BEAUTIFUL MISTAKE by Vi Keeland

When Rachel Martin discovers that her best friends boyfriend is actually married, she quickly comes to her friends defense and tells him off when he tries to hit on her. Then she discovers that she told off the wrong guy. And that guy is also her new professor...whoops.

Despite the fact that Rachel is his TA, Caine West has a hard time resisting the urge to be with her. As they begin to venture down a forbidden road, Caine discovers that he has feelings for Rachel that go beyond sexual attraction. Their relationship comes to a abrupt halt when Caine discovers a secret that has to power to end them...for good.

I've read three other books by Vi Keeland and I have loved every single one of them. 'Beautiful Mistake' is now on that list. This book started out fun. I adored Rachel and Caine's relationship from the first night in the bar. Their romance was steamy and hot and beautiful. And then, like all the other Vi Keeland books I've read, the book began to take a turn down the serious lane with rough pasts and secrets that threatened Rachel and Caine's relationship.

Overall, this book was the perfect mix of steamy and seriousness. I adored Caine and Rachel's relationship until the very end. This will definitely not be my last Vi Keeland book. She is officially on my 'favorite authors' list.

READING SLUMP ALERT!!!! (SEND HELP!!!!)

I HAVE BEEN HIT BY THE DREADED READING SLUMP.

In July, I only read 6 books. Not terrible...but not good by my standards. I did do a lot of traveling with family, but I read way less than I thought I was going to.

On the plus side, the books I did read were AMAZING! I'll be posting July's wrap up with August's wrap up because I am very ashamed of it.

For August, I've only read three books so far.....

I am working on combating my reading slump. I decided to re-read my favorite series (The Selection by Kiera Cass) and am on the third book already. So, that is book number 3 for the week. So it's a bit of an improvement. I'm hoping to read at least five books, maybe six, this month.

Once I return to school and am not working during the week, I'll be able to read way more and I am so excited. I'm 64% done with my reading challenge of 100 books, so if I read ten books a month from September on, I'll surpass my challenge.

I am also going to be posting more reviews! And am thinking about starting up a booktube channel.

WISH ME LUCK!
