All about Kindle Unlimited (KU) and Audible

*DISCLAIMER: this post is not sponsored by either company I am talking about. All opinions expressed are my own*

Good afternoon!

Today's post will be all about my experience with Kindle Unlimited and Audible.

Two months ago, I decided to take a chance on Kindle Unlimited. It's an Amazon subscription that's $9.99 a month. It gives you access to a lot of books enrolled in the KU program. (I will make a separate post about my favorite books in the program and my TBR.) I have read mixed reviews about this program. Since I've never really been a fan of e-books until recently, the program never really appealed to me. However, I have been reading more e-books lately so I decided to try it out.

My overall opinion of the program is great. I love having access to a lot of books that were already on my TBR. However, you are limited to ten books at a time, after which you have to return one to get another. Not a big deal at all for me. The first month, which was my trial run, I read 9 books. I loved all but one of them. Because of that, I decided to continue on with the subscription.

I think you need to read 3 or more, given the price of e-books and the price of the subscription, to make it worth it. Obviously, since I read 9, It was worth it for me.

Shortly after I joined KU, I figured out that they have a deal with Audible where if you have KU you can join Audibles romance package for $6.95/month, with the first month free. Given the price of audiobooks, which range from $14-$27, $6.95 a month is well worth it, even if you just listen to one. Similarly to KU, you are limited to about 8 books I think before you have to return one to get another. Again, not a big deal at all for me. Since joining, I have listened to 10 books.

Overall, I definitely think KU and the Audible Romance Package is well worth $17 a month. These programs have greatly increased the number of books I read in a month. I will be continuing with both programs until I run out of material to read/listen to.

I hope this post helped those of you who are teeter-tottering between joining KU and Audible. I definitely believe that it is an investment well worth it and you'll thank yourself for it.

Life Updates

Long time, no see!!

I know, I know. It has been way too long since I've posted something on here. A lot has happened since my last post. Health issues, family issues, drama. You know how life is.

The only good thing I have to tell you is that, despite a two month stretch of no reading due to a head injury, I am on track with my original reading goal of 100 BOOKS!!! I am so proud of myself.

In a separate post, I will give a detailed list of what I've read this year. I have read some AMAZING books this year so far. I've also discovered Audible and Kindle Unlimited, which I will make a post about later this week. I've also been thinking about starting up my own Youtube channel. It's a scary idea, but I would love it.

Anyway, that is it for this post. Thank you so much for visiting my blog! Talk to you guys later!!

The Beau & The Belle by RS Grey REVIEW

The fact that I love and adore everything and anything RS Grey writes is not a secret. I discovered Rachel in 2017 and I am so happy that I did! I have (now) read and LOVED seven of her books! I cannot wait to read more from Rachel!

When Beau moves into the makeshift apartment behind her house, seventeen year old Lauren can't help but feel attracted to him. He's older, in college, and sexier than the boys she's used to seeing, so how can she resist? Soon, Beau becomes the subject of Lauren's not-so innocent fantasies. An attraction that she quickly learns is forbidden is ended suddenly when she is sent away to a different school. Now, ten years later, Lauren returns to New Orleans and finds Beau, who quickly realizes that Lauren is no longer the innocent seventeen year old he once knew. He warned her to guard her heart years ago, but does he know to guard his?

OH. MY. GOSH. I adored this book so freaking much. I loved the setting, the character, the romance. Beau and Lauren were amazing characters. They're definitely my favorite couple from Rachel as of now, and probably forever.

I don't think I ever laughed so hard out loud reading a book. When it says "Romantic Comedy" on the cover, it was an understatement. It should've said: Do Not Read In Public Because You Will Laugh So Hard You'll Spit Soda Out Of Your Nose In The Cafe In Front Of Tons Of People. It was mildly embarrassing. BUT I LOVED IT.

I am crossing my fingers that we get another book set in the same world. I would LOVE to see more of Lauren and Beau and the other characters in this book. Make sure you pre-order this baby so it hits your e-reader as soon as it's live! $.99 pre-order on Amazon is now live!
