October Wrap-Up!

Hello, lovelies!

I am doing my October Wrap-up today! October was an amazing reading month for me! I read 13 books this month, which is the most I've read in one month this year! I am so proud of myself! Right now, I am two books away from completing my Goodreads challenge of 100 books! I haven't read 100 book in a year since 2014!!

The Fortunate Ones by R.S. Grey

Thank you soooo much to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for a review! I was so excited to see this in my kindle library.

I devoured this book like I have with all of the other books that I’ve read by R.S. Grey. About halfway through I realized I was reading it way too fast and had to stop so I could read it longer. I did not want it to end!

I cannot express how happy my heart was because of James and Brooke. Their relationship, while it had a lot of bumps, was amazing. It was very realistic, beautiful, sexy, and fun. So, basically, perfect,

This is an obvious 5 star read for me. I LOVED it

A BOOK REVIEW: Drunk Dial by Penelope Ward

"Tell me something funny." 🖤

One night, after a night of drinking, Rana decides to look up her childhood best friend, Landon, who is thousands of miles away in California. She calls him and tells him off over the phone. She didn't expect him to call back. And she certainly didn't expect the following weeks after her drunk dial to be filled with sexy phone calls. On a whim, she buys a ticket to California. During their week together, they discover that both of them have secrets that could potentially keep them apart. They're about to find out if Rana's drunk dial could bring them back together or if it was really just a huge mistake.

I LOVED this book! I really enjoyed Rana's character. I've never read a book where the main character was a belly dancer, so I thought that was pretty cool. I also loved that even though she went through hell as a teenager and had so many insecurities, she was still herself. If that makes any sense at all.

Landon was just 😍 I loved him. He was so swoon-worthy and genuine. I loved how much he cared about Rana.

All around, I loved this book and I can't wait to read more from Penelope Ward.

If There's No Tomorrow by Jennifer L. Armentrout

It's no secret that I absolutely LOVE anything Jennifer L. Armentrout writes. She is by far one of my absolute favorite authors and I do my little happy book dance every time she posts about a new book project of hers. So of course I was excited when I saw that she was putting out another YA contemporary because 'The Problem With Forever' is one of my favorite YA novels.

Lena is excited to spend her senior year with her best friends, filling out college applications, and trying to figure out how to tell her childhood best friend, Sebastian, how she really feels about him. All of this changes when one decision, one moment, destroys everything.

This book absolutely destroyed me. It was beautifully written and had a great lesson in it.

My summary is brief because it is best to go into this book blind, like I did. From the very first page, you're hooked. The characters, the writing, and the story just hook into you and won't let go until the very last page.

I loved Lena's character. She went through so much and came out so strong. And Sebastian was so encouraging and just amazing. 🖤 Lena's friends were also amazing. I long to have friends like hers.

This book was beautiful and heartbreaking and has a special place both in my heart and on my bookshelf. Go pick up this book now if you haven't already.
