A BOOK REVIEW: TRUST by Kylie Scott

Kylie Scott is one of my favorite authors and I will read anything this woman writes. So, of course, I was so excited when I received an e-ARC of her newest book. I started reading it right away and was in love after the first page.

Edie has her life all figured out. Or so she thought. One night, after being held up in a gas station robbery, she decides that she's fed up with trying to blend in and avoid the bullies. So she decides to make some changes in her life. At her new school, she runs into a very familiar face. John, the guy who saved her life the night of the robbery. The two form an unlikely friendship and as Edie finds herself becoming more wild, John finds himself becoming more tame.

I adore this book so much. I was hooked from the very first page. I loved Edie's character and how she wasn't this confident girl. She was very relatable, especially since I am by no means skinny or gorgeous. I really liked that John and Edie had to work to be friends before even considering taking their relationship further than friends.

I was shocked by how real this book felt. From the very beginning, nothing was roses and butterflies for Edie or John. Even with the robbery and the bullying and her confidence issues, Edie was still so strong. And I loved how the robbery made both John and Edie look at life differently. John decided to get out of his bad habits and to start taking school seriously. And Edie decided to not be so careful because life can end at anytime.

Overall, this is book was just amazing, as are all of Kylie Scott's other books.
